Upholstery textile Remix

Located within the confines of a 600-year-old temple complex, close to the Forbidden City, the Temple Restaurant Beijing offers an unparalleled dining experience in one of the most historic parts of the city.

Designed by Hassell, the restaurant is part of the boutique Temple Hotel and seamlessly blends ancient architecture with modern luxury. Hassell’s design thoughtfully preserves the character of the temple while creating a sophisticated, inviting space for guests. To enhance this delicate balance, Kvadrat’s Remix textile was selected for the upholstery, bringing a contemporary edge that complements the historical surroundings.

The Remix upholstery textile wraps the seating, designed by MatzForm, throughout the restaurant, providing a refined touch of modern comfort.  The subtle, nuanced patterns of Remix allow the design to respect the history of the space while still bringing a fresh, modern feel.

Remix was chosen not only for its durability but for its ability to blend seamlessly into this unique environment, adding a layer of understated elegance. The textile’s muted tones echo the natural materials of the temple, while its high-performance qualities ensure long-lasting beauty in a busy dining setting.

The Temple Restaurant Beijing is more than just a dining venue; it is a destination where Kvadrat’s textile plays a key role in delivering an experience that blends cultural heritage with modern elegance.
